Who was the person who tried out for America's Got Talent many times and finally got through a year or 2 ago?

Someone had tried out for America's Got Talent almost every year. He finally got through a year or 2 ago and I can't remember the act or the name. He got pretty far, I think he maybe was a drag queen.
